Recently I purchased two brand new 16GB memory modules at 3200mhz. The problem is I can't start my laptop with both installed together. It works fine if I leave one of my older 8GB modules in, but not with both. At first I thought my laptop only had two memory slots, but now I realize there are four. The reason it wasn’t obvious was the slots were close together and seemed to fit only two. I’m still a beginner, so let’s keep that in mind. Knowing I have two more slots opens up more possibilities. I should mention that the manufacturer says I can only have 32GB at once, so adding more than that won’t work or could hurt performance. Every time I install both 16GB modules, the laptop won’t boot and I can’t reach the BIOS. I can start with one 8GB module as before. What can I do to fix this? Also, I’d like your thoughts on how these memory speeds affect performance. The new 16GB modules are 3200mhz, while my old 8GB are 2400mhz. It could be the speed difference that’s causing issues when booting. I ran PowerShell to check and confirmed both modules are running at 2400mhz. New RAM - 16GB DDR4-3200 vs old RAM - 8GB DDR4-2400
