You're considering upgrading your CPU and cooling options. It's good you're checking compatibility before making a purchase. The MMX6F is a compatible CPU, but ensure your cooler matches its specifications. If you're unsure about the cooler's fit, look for one rated for the MMX6F or similar models. For cooling, a good water cooler is recommended if you plan to use the higher-end CPU. If you're unsure, consider buying a mid-range cooler first or checking reviews for the specific cooler you have.

The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE offers excellent performance for both the 7800X3D and the 7900X. For pure gaming purposes, the 7800X3D remains the top CPU option available today.

I use an NH-D15 at a steady 24% fan speed with my overclocked 7700x, and it stays safe even during intense gaming. The 7800X3D uses just 20 watts more than a regular 7700x. A Peerless Assassin SE 120 dual tower will handle everything well, including the 7900x.
