I recently installed Windows 8.1 about a month ago. Last night I updated to Windows 10. Now I’m thinking about performing a clean install. Also, I have an overclocked CPU and used Asus AI Suite for it. Would a clean install undo the overclock? This ties into a previous concern about updating. I was looking at drivers after the update and wanted to know how Intel chipset drivers work and whether certain motherboard drivers are needed.

I’m not sure if it’s essential, but I performed a clean installation following the upgrade from 8.1 Pro. Now I’m set for a complete Windows 10 experience!

The changes are complicated and may lead to problems. This is the path I took—upgrade and then reformat.

I'm curious about whether having Steam Origin and all your games on the second hard drive means you'd need to format that drive and reinstall everything, or if you could simply reformat the Windows SSD drive with your drivers.
