Connectors for fans and RGB lighting
Connectors for fans and RGB lighting
I'm struggling to get my new build up and running. I saved some money by using a cheap Chinese case with the included 6-pin adapters for the fans. I'm unsure if these will fit my Gigabyte Arusha Elite X570. Do I really need adapters? Also, I have a Ryzen 7 5800X3d CPU, an AMD 6700XT GPU, an M.2 SSD, two 16GB RAM sticks, a 1000W PSU from Corsair, and I'm looking for some advice. Thanks in advance! James
Seems like they added the 3-pin fan header and 3-pin RGB header all into one. Check if there is some kind of a fan hub. If not: it will be annoying to figure out which pin goes where, and what adapters you need.
Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear it. I think I found the hub you mentioned with six pin slots for these components. The setup I used a SATA cable directly into my PSU—does that look right in your view? Appreciate the help!
Hey there! The forums might have some over-the-top claims, but with your system specs, a decent 100$ case is a solid choice. It looks nicer, feels better, and simplifies upkeep a lot. I’d recommend the LL O11, Corsair 4000air, or if you like it, the Phanteks P400A Mesh.
If I hadn’t skimmed certain sections, I wouldn’t have managed to afford the specs. The prices here in England are really high right now. I’ve never owned a computer before—I just used one at work, so I’m still learning and ready to make plenty of errors. That’s how we grow. I appreciate the cases you suggested. I decided to upgrade soon after I took a closer look. Even someone new like me could see I’d need a better model going forward. Still, if I can’t find any evidence that the ruddy thing supports life, the cases won’t matter much.
I’ve noticed the RGB and fans activate when I power on the power supply, not when I manually turn the case’s On/Off button. The CPU cooler fan still doesn’t work, but my monitor shows power to its LEDs. I’ve attached pictures of the two power wires and the corresponding LED connections, along with how it connects via HDMI and USB. I also checked the instructions for a standby mode trigger—seems it requires pressing a key or moving the mouse briefly before entering standby. With a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard that isn’t yet paired, it’s unclear how to initiate that step. Maybe using a wired keyboard would help? I thought the BIOS would display a start-up screen when the system powers up. This is really frustrating, especially after two months of dealing with health issues around Christmas.
