Connector for USB 3.1 Gen 2 on NZXT H510
Connector for USB 3.1 Gen 2 on NZXT H510
I kept improving my setup by purchasing a NZXT H510 case to provide extra space for internal components. It includes USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Gen 2 connectors, while my existing board only supports Gen 1. Many new motherboards now feature both Gen 1 and Gen 2 ports. My concern is whether the USB 3.2 Gen 1 headers on the case match the USB 3.1 Gen 2 (Type C) connector.
Many modern motherboards include this port. Do you need a particular chipset and size?
You can also find PCIE cards that add the functionality. Edit: here's the link https://www.amazon.com/Cablecc-Socket-Ex...3679&psc=1
I'm preparing for easier CPU access with a 10,000 Intel processor. I'm aiming for six USB ports on the back panel, one M.2 slot, and four SATA headers. My current 1650 is performing well, but I'm considering upgrading to a 1660 Super GPU if needed. Edited May 3, 2021 by Carrot1151 added more details.
