Hey there, welcome back. Thanks for taking the time to read my update and hopefully offering some support. I’m based in Venezuela, and unfortunately our internet problems are really challenging, especially with the government side. Right now, my ADSL connection isn’t working well—I can’t enjoy online gaming or streaming. My only option is to use my LTE hotspot for browsing and playing, but I’m stuck with slow speeds: around 6 Mbps download and 100-150 ms latency during the day. At night, things improve to 30+ Mbps download and 15+ Mbps upload with a much better 90 ms ping. Unfortunately, my 4G hotspot always blocks me with a strict NAT, so COD isn’t an option.

I’ve tried fixing my ADSL setup and managed to get a decent SNR margin, but the line still struggles. My current download speed is barely sufficient, and my internet seems on the verge of dropping further. I’m wondering if upgrading to an 8 Mbps connection would make a difference. As it stands, my line isn’t strong enough to handle that speed reliably without losing stability. I’ve already done a lot to troubleshoot—rooting my phone, setting up VPN hotspots, and even considering a premium VPN—but nothing seems to work consistently. What do you think?

If it's near the speed you're paying for from your ISP, the only options left are upgrading your internet plan. Your ping is a bit high, but it might be caused by various factors both inside your network and beyond your modem. If this number drops during busy internet times (which are uncommon now), it's probably due to network congestion in your area—especially if many people use the same ISP. The best you can do is upgrade your plan or try a different provider. If your ISP can upgrade your connection without changing the physical hardware, you're likely in a safe situation. Based on my findings, ADSL can reach a maximum speed of 24Mbps.
