Connectivity problems, a single device unexpectedly disconnects from the network.
I recently relocated and set up a new ISP with a new router and modem. I also use my own Huawei router for better reliability. All devices function normally except my Galaxy Tab S5e, which struggles to connect to the internet despite working with both the modem/router combo and my Huawei router. The tablet connects fine, but it keeps dropping. I've tried switching networks, but the issue persists. Using my phone's hotspot helps, so it might be a network compatibility problem. If you can clarify, I'll try to help further.
I checked the details on that tablet. It seems Samsung had a known problem with Wi-Fi when using landscape mode, as blocking signals can affect connectivity. You mentioned it feels like it’s tethering to your phone, which makes sense. Have you tried performing a soft reset? There’s a guide explaining how to resolve this issue on the Galaxy Tab S5e.
The gap between the tablet and the router might be due to a faulty antenna on the tablet or increased interference in your home environment.
I restored the router and it functioned temporarily then the problem returned. The setup is roughly 15 meters away, near a ceiling and wall (plasterboard instead of bricks), but placing the router next to it didn't solve the issue. Also, the problem can occur without moving the device, so it seems unrelated to signal strength. I checked that link but found it too general, so I didn’t pay much attention. I restarted the tablet, then the router, and finally reset the tablet without any prior understanding.
