Hey everyone, ports stay closed after forwarding. The firewall rules don’t block the server I’m trying to host, and Windows Defender isn’t causing any problems. I’ve tested it on my Linux laptop too without success. I double-checked the IPv4 address, port numbers, and confirmed the game servers are running correctly. Still, the ports for all servers I used to work with won’t open now. The router is a GigaSpire GS4220E. My ISP mentioned they manage their network and suggested getting a static IP, but port forwarding worked fine before. I’ve tried different servers and friends have connected before, but recently it’s not happening. I haven’t changed the router settings except for adding/removing ports since my servers were up, though the public IP just changed on its own. I’ve attached a picture of one of the ports I’m trying to forward; the others look similar and didn’t face issues until today.

Check your ISP's configuration and review the Gigaspire status page along with the WAN IP address. If it falls within the 100.64.0.0-100.127.255.255 range, you're likely behind CG-NAT, which prevents standard port forwarding.

Certainly, 100.64 marks the start of the explanation. That clarifies the situation. Could you tell me what steps you can take yourself to resolve this? Your ISP mentioned a network routing change on Wednesday and introduced CGNAT, suggesting a static IP might be the recommended fix.

THIS SERVICE IS THE ONLY CHOICE FOR GETTING YOU ONTO THE PUBLIC NETWORK (STATIC IP). UNLESS YOU WANT TO HIRE A TUNNELING PROVIDER OR BUILD YOUR OWN WITH AN AFFORDABLE VPS, THIS IS THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE AND SIMPLEST OPTION.

Thank you for the responses from you and Falcon. It looks like the static IP is part of the package if we need it, though the sales team might have some preferences. I'll reach out to them.

It's interesting that most ISPs are moving toward CG-NAT instead of providing static public IP addresses, with the exception of business broadband options.
