I have the same issue with my setup and I don't think there's a solution for it. The USB4 controller that is used for the X870 chipset just doesn't play along with the TB3 controller in the Corning cable and so I just ditched the entire setup and replaced it with an optical USB 10Gbit cable. That works fine, but it doesn't send a display signal, for which I now have an optical HDMI and DP cable.
