I've purchased the retail edition of GTA V (disk) and am stuck with needing to install the 5.04 Gb patch to play. I'm currently at 4.88Gb/5.04Gb download speed, but it won't progress anymore. The interface shows "Connection to download server lost. Reconnecting." It then restarts the download for a couple of seconds before repeating the issue. I suspect the download client from Rockstar might be limiting my speed. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions?
I think the servers aren't working since I couldn't access any of them. Just keep waiting.
I should note that I've been downloading for about 4 to 5 days now after purchasing the DVDs. This is my fifth try at downloading the patch because errors often appear later, causing the download to restart from the beginning. So far, this attempt is the most successful I've made—I've reached 4.8Gb without having to start over. The issue is that it's not progressing anymore.
It's frustrating to deal with DRM restrictions. Do you have any suggestions for legal ways to obtain the patches you need?
