As mentioned in the title, I’m unable to access the 5GHz network anymore. It functioned once before suddenly stopping. No adjustments were made. All my devices can’t connect, only the 2.5GHz network is working now. The main network remains active and visible, but connection is still missing. I turned off the 5GHz option in the web interface and then re-enabled it later, each time restarting the wireless module, yet it doesn’t work. I’m completely confused because I didn’t do anything and it just stopped without warning.

The phrase refers to a connectivity issue—whether it's an error, authentication failure, or complete lack of response from the network.

It doesn't engage properly. When trying to call, it makes multiple attempts before dropping. On my MacBook, it displays a message indicating proximity to the router, but diagnostics offer no further help and just prompt a router restart.

Reset your router or modem to its original settings and attempt the connection again. If the issue persists after a factory reset, test your client devices on another 5GHz network to eliminate interference.

You're concerned about losing your internet connection after a factory reset. It's natural to worry, but most routers have built-in safeguards. They usually reconfigure themselves automatically if needed. Factory resetting can reset settings, including the connection to your ISP, but it also clears all custom configurations. If you're unsure, consider restarting the router instead of a full reset.

It shouldn't influence your ISP setup unless it comes from your ISP provider, but many routers allow you to save your configuration before resetting them. I've experienced a comparable problem with 5Ghz as well; it seems more related to my device. After waiting a while, restarting the gadget helped restore the network without changing the router settings. Uncertain about the cause (e.g., Android TV or Note 4 with TP-Link Archer C7).
