Connection speeds are decreasing, yet uploading remains stable.
You have a 400Mbps plan but often see speeds around 350Mbps on Wi-Fi. Last night your download dropped to just 10Mbps even though you didn’t change anything or install new software. Your upload stays solid at 100Mbps, which is normal for you. The issue seems tied to your router and its placement—moving it closer only improved speeds slightly. Your laptop’s performance remains stable in the old spot. You’ve tried resetting everything and updating drivers, but you’re considering a fresh Windows install if needed.
OP mentioned their laptop is operating at the initial performance levels
Relies on the AP settings; certain configurations link devices to either two or three networks. When the device shares a network with the tower but not the laptop, that is typical.
Installed via device manager and then reinstalled, but it didn’t work. Tried reinstalling by hand, but nothing changed. Physical reinstallation also failed. Once again, it worked this time. I’m not sure what was happening before, but it seems to be resolved now. Appreciate the advice!
