I considered sharing this if Telus Fiber looked into a plan with 300 up to 300 down for just a few extra dollars each month. Compared to the 150 up to 150 down option, it would be cheaper. They also mentioned gig internet available for under $150.

If only they provided these faster connections across more than 25% of their service region... I'm not being overly critical here—though I'm content with Shaw as the sole competitor nearby. I just can't wait for North America to match the speeds that have been offered in Europe for over eight years. I wouldn't change to Telus unless my friend's father remained nearby (he works as a line technician for Telus) because their Tier 1 support is outsourced. That said, nothing against people from other countries, but if we can't communicate effectively, our troubleshooting efforts become pointless. If symmetrical speeds above Internet 75 were available in my area and he lived close by, it would really be tempting.
