Do you know any suggestions for a strong Wi-Fi access point? We have a big 5-bedroom home with thick walls. We need coverage that works well over distance and reliable speed. The TP Link EAP240 isn’t helping much, and I’m based in the UK. Thanks.
It seems one AP won't make much difference. A mesh Wi-Fi setup might be a better fit.
Hello. I've updated it to go beyond the usual Virgin Hub 3, which is often criticized. It's not exactly what I anticipated. What exactly does a mesh do? Is it simply a collection of extenders? Thanks for clarifying—I'm still not familiar with mesh technology.
I've really enjoyed the Ubiquiti APs; they've worked well in my home and among friends, consistently providing excellent coverage.
You're correct about Ubiquiti devices. They typically require PoE power rather than being plugged directly into a standard outlet.
The setup is straightforward—include a POE adapter inside the box, connect your network and power cables to it, and then link a single network cable from the adapter to the access point.
I own this item at home. For those with more space, we chose the other model: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ubiquiti-Networ...way&sr=8-3
