Connection lost, but functionality is restored.
Hello, welcome to the forum! I’m just getting started and feel free to share my PC details if helpful. My brothers messed with my computer when I was away, so I had to reset Windows 10 to fix some issues. After resetting, I noticed something odd—my Ethernet cable was disconnected. At first, I thought it was a driver problem, but then I realized the internet still worked. It’s strange because it seems like the connection status isn’t clear. The internet is fine, but all the services that rely on it aren’t functioning properly. This is problematic since I need to activate Windows, but it keeps saying the internet is down. If anyone can assist, I’d really appreciate it.
Avoid any trouble by performing a fresh installation of Windows through the media creation utility and resetting your storage device.
It lacks Wi-Fi and only supports Ethernet. I prefer not to restart Windows because I risk losing my software and it’s frustrating to reinstall. I’m looking for a solution so Windows acknowledges it needs internet access without drastic steps.
