It's a dedicated modem, I'm limited to just online access. No records, no browser, nothing at all.

On their site it states that my villages infrastructure type is FTTC for telephone, internet and for TV. And from the master there's only one cable going into a splitter so I guess this is the closest thing that would detail it. "For FTTC and FTTN, the combined internet, video and telephone signal travels to the building over existing telephone or cable wiring until it reaches the end-user's living space, where a VDSL or DOCSIS modem converts data and video signals into ethernet protocol, which is sent over the end-user's CAT5 cable ." It's probably something on the wires, but I have no clue at this point. It's sort of sad that they haven't done anything about this. All of my neighbours are saying the same thing, their internet is dropping out as well. And RDS has been in this village for years, so at this point you'd think they know what is causing problems or try to fix them.

You mentioned using coax and the AccEOC21, which confirms DOCSIS is involved. I realize now you were referring to a modem (the slave) before, and I was surprised by all the master/slave terminology I hadn’t encountered. My knowledge of DOCSIS has improved since then, so I understand their approach better. Regarding their mix of VDSL and DOCSIS, it might explain why they rely on PPPoE over DOCSIS—this isn’t standard and seems inefficient. Likely they’re using PPPoE for all customers to simplify connections, which could be contributing to the issue. Cable broadband usually works seamlessly; it seems overly complicated here. If the master is at the pole, you should experience strong performance. Given the proximity to your neighbors, it probably points to their side being the source of the problem. It’s concerning if network instability affects your phone or TV too.

You were at the closest point to the setup. Initially, everything was connected through a series of extensions, but eventually they moved it directly to the master. At first, I assumed that was the issue. Once they arrived, they explained their simplified setup using terms like master/slave and mentioned that longer cables affect stability. After that, my connection stopped working every hour and a half. It seemed to be deteriorating, though maybe just a temporary problem. I waited a day before contacting them again; they replaced the master, and now it seems fine. In this village, people don’t rely much on internet, so complaints shouldn’t be many. If there’s no other choice, I’ll reach out once more and suggest checking the wires. For now, I’m just trying to understand what’s happening. The TV worked, but the modem was likely struggling. They also asked if the phone was functioning when the connection failed. I’ll just wait and see what they do next.
