Connection issues occur unpredictably on the PC's Wi-Fi network.
Hi! I’ve got a new PC and am planning to switch to Ethernet soon. Right now I’m using these motherboard antennas (Asrock B650 Steel Legend). I live in a shared apartment with the router outside the lobby near my door. The signal is decent. However, my WiFi connection drops unexpectedly—no disconnect warning in the taskbar, but nothing loads or functions. A ping to Google shows "Request Timed Out." To resolve this, I’ve toggled WiFi on and off; it works now. It also functions on my phone, personal laptop, and work laptop when I connect via hotspot. I’ve tried 5 and 2.4 GHz bands without success. Disconnect time varies—sometimes around 30 minutes, other times up to two hours. It feels like the connection stutters during games or long videos, then drops completely. I’ve reinstalled LAN/WAN drivers, disabled IPv6, used 1.1.1.1 DNS, switched WiFi bands, and adjusted power settings, but nothing has fixed the issue.
