hi there, please help. I've just upgrade my internet connection. when I used it to watch video on youtube the connection is fine, even when I turn the video quality to 1080p. no buffering at all. but when I used it to watch online videos on websites other than youtube its just buffering all the time. I wonder how is that happen? and how to fix this? thank u best regard
I believe your modem is working properly. The issue seems to happen only on specific websites. I've tested another site with the same content, and everything runs smoothly without buffering. It’s unclear whether the problem lies with the website or your internet connection.
There are many aspects of the internet that clarify why this occurs. Streaming platforms like YouTube and others rely on servers to convert and send videos. Websites simply fetch content via HTTP requests. This might be the main issue. Let's compare YouTube with any other site. YouTube or similar services use RTMP streaming, which handles all the processing for you. Picture your computer having to re-encode everything you watch on YouTube—that would consume a lot of resources. If your PC had to do this locally, it would be inefficient compared to using a dedicated streaming service. A quick test can reveal this: monitor your CPU usage while playing a video. Low usage suggests a streamed source, whereas high usage may indicate the site needs better infrastructure.
