Connection issues are occurring.
I'm staying at a new house and I connected everything to the new Wi-Fi just fine. However, my PC doesn't have Wi-Fi on the motherboard, so I use a small GL.iNet travel router. It normally connects to Wi-Fi without issue, but for some reason, as soon as it connects and I launch a game or run a Wi-Fi test, it just disconnects. I don't know what the problem is, but any help is very much appreciated p.s. here is the router on amazon www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL-SFT1200-Secure-Travel-Router/dp/B09N72FMH5/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2J4KMLMJLV0P2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ouYG_5Umz8hd70EhoqyH4z5R80tosVXkaw50Wju8pS0cQpNGJix49er9ETibF-xY6jsMU_0L8kzukiOFbc9fvDJya_GAJrnyMbbZwiGcmpUdOU8a5vnaa6Cymthua_o8N0eicVxj0CjdtT3vGqcM7Elxd6djJTVDWuwHkdyiDdJp2_4ejP6H7qZ_EyyFtD3YFMMCHp80_QqWedKdhnFV4ksAPX-9VtJ5p0p4BBFcT7s.s5rxOoPxfqjM8kqPvoRLFjSSfdF0sHUBEXME2LnCys8&dib_tag=se&keywords=gl-sft1200&qid=1753455341&sprefix=gl-sft1200%2Caps%2C78&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
Running a speed test reveals whether your router remains active. Are there numerous Wi-Fi devices in your home? Do your neighbors have close proximity so their signals reach you? Is the travel router properly linked to another Wi-Fi network, such as when away from home? Have you attempted to turn off all Wi-Fi devices except the one you're using, your computer, and the travel router? Good luck!
Assuming your router firmware is current and you have enough power, could there be Wi-Fi interference inside the house? Are websites loading properly? Can other gadgets connect and browse the internet without issues? What configuration is used for the GL.inet router? Is it configured as a repeater or client? Even minor time discrepancies on the GL.inet router might affect connectivity—verify it's set to the right time zone. Try switching Wi-Fi channels to a less crowded one, download a Wi-Fi analyzer app on your phone, and check which bands are most available. Use your phone as a hotspot to test both the GL.inet router and your home Wi-Fi router for any dropouts.
The internet connection dropped during the speed test but functioned properly on my phone using Wi-Fi 2. We have multiple devices—three TVs, two laptops, two phones, and a PC—and there’s about 100 yards between us and the next house. It worked fine at our old home too, but not anymore.
What Wi-Fi frequency is your gl.inet using? 2.4GHz or 5GHz from your router? This might relate to compatibility problems with your host router's support for gl.inet standards like 802.11n, 802.11b, 802.11a, 802.11g, or 802.11ac.
The router is located right above me, leaving no choice but to adjust my position
