I recently relocated with my brother, who has his router in the basement. To resolve the problem, he connected an ethernet cable from the ISP-provided router to a higher-up router. My PC is now directly linked via LAN to that upstairs router, and everything functions smoothly. However, when I tried connecting my PC to the same router, it stopped working abruptly after about five minutes. Initially, it appeared to connect without issues, but then it disconnected unexpectedly, preventing me from reconnecting. We've tried various solutions—using Wi-Fi, switching cables, and testing different setups—but the Wi-Fi connection still slows my downloads. Are there any adjustments we should make on the upstairs router, or should we explore alternative fixes?

The router can detect your PC once it’s connected. In the management interface, you can view connected devices and IP addresses, which lets you identify your PC’s IP address using commands like CMD.

No, I didn't disable NAT on the second router.

It isn't recognizing it at all. The router upstairs is still working, but going down there isn't safe or practical for me.

We solved it, just needed to redirect traffic.

Consider upgrading to a switch unless your ISP router is properly configured; otherwise, the dual router may lead to complications.
