I just set up Ubuntu on my main machine and am trying to access Steam content. I've noticed the download speeds are extremely low—around 6.1 KB/s—which is nowhere near the 750+ I used to experience on Windows. This is unusual for Ubuntu or any Linux distribution I've tried before. Anyone else facing this issue and found a solution?

Verify if Steam imposes any data transfer restrictions.

There isn’t any issue here. The default Steam settings aim to maximize bandwidth usage. My wording wasn’t clear enough—actually, all download speeds seem sluggish, even when browsing or downloading content. The rare exceptions are for updating software using apt-get.
