Hey, on your server it works fine with SSH from your local network, but when trying to connect from other devices you get timeouts. The server and router are using port 22 normally, yet the connection fails. On the server side, the port is forwarded correctly, and you didn’t change any settings. It’s possible the issue is on the client side—check your local network configuration, firewall rules, or ensure the correct IP address is being used. Also, verify that the server’s public IP is reachable from outside its network. If you forwarded port 22 incorrectly, double-check the command and permissions.
I’d assume CGNAT is my prediction. Let’s see what happens if your modem’s IPv4 address falls inside the private IP range or not.
The server's network uses IPv6, which is why I noted that restriction. I attempted to connect only through IPv6, and I don't believe that would cause an issue. The Wi-Fi my laptop uses isn't CGNAT or similar. My setup includes both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
