I'm dealing with a wifi repeater connected via Ethernet to my PC. It functions mostly well, though there are occasional lag spikes. Sometimes the connection drops completely until I unplug and plug it back in. I haven't identified the exact issue yet, but after checking the command prompt, I see different IP addresses when connected versus when not connected. Could you help me understand what's going on?

Can linking another device to this Ethernet cable recreate the problem? If not, the issue may lie with your client software.
