What is your internet performance? (download and upload speeds) Have you attempted to stream using WIRED with an Ethernet connection? Wi-Fi connections can be inconsistent at times. I've observed that when the Wi-Fi channel is set to "auto," the network sometimes disappears unexpectedly, likely trying to switch channels for better signal. This can disrupt your connection. I suggest selecting channel 1, 6, or 11 in the 2.4GHz range. If you're using 5GHz... pick a specific channel and stick with it. Avoid letting the system choose automatically. Also, where is your Wi-Fi adapter positioned? Is it on the back of the device, near a wall? Try moving it forward or using a USB cable to place it farther away from the case to reduce interference. Does this issue occur only on your device? Have you tested with another smartphone to see if the problem persists?

I'll address each point one by one: - My internet speed is 85 Mbps u:20 Mbps - The modem is located in the living room, so my wife didn't let me connect a cable to my work room. That means I've never used wired connections, though I have Nvidia Shield wired to the modem and during streaming it remains stable even with VPN enabled on the shield. I also don't face issues with my mobile phone connection—there seems to be an active 2.4 and 5GHz network on my modem. I'll check if the channel is set to auto. - Tonight is a game night. Yes, my wireless adapter is on the back of the case near the wall, plugged into USB 3.0 because the front panel only shows USB 2.0. What's unusual is that even when games or Explorer stop working, Discord and Viber function normally as if I'm online. By the way, on my business laptop I've never lost a connection. Over the past few days due to a virus, I've been working from home and haven't experienced any drops in connectivity. Thanks for your response. Filip

Thanks for the update. I was thinking it might be connected to DNS, but I'm not sure what exactly it is. It seems unlikely I have malware since the Windows installation is recent and I only use it for games and news. It could possibly be linked to expressVPN that I used to access my home country. I'll follow your advice. Honestly, I don't want to install malware scanning tools—they feel unsafe. All my classified information is on my phone, not my computer.

I recommend clearing your DNS cache and manually setting the addresses. Skip the second part if you prefer. For your convenience, consider using AdwCleaner—it’s safe, requires no installation, and just needs a single executable to run. Let me know if you’d like more tips!

Is the VPN only running on the nVidia Shield and used by that device, or is it also active on your computer? Have you tried relocating the computer away from the wall to improve WiFi signal stability? Use WiFi Analyzer on the affected PC to view performance on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
