I'm pleased it functions properly. Finding the genuine cable can be tricky, especially on platforms like Amazon where many claim success but few confirm long-term stability above 60Hz. I purchased a proper cable from a store that supports PS5 and Xbox, which is verified as HDMI 2.1. Now my monitor operates smoothly at 120Hz in 4K. I considered the older DP cable from six years ago, but it seems unsuitable—thick metal casing with braided wire and gold plating, yet it doesn't meet advertised specs. The DP model doesn't support ARC or dynamic HDR. I'm exploring HDMI optical cables as an alternative, which seems promising.
You spent a significant amount on that cable guy. It seems you exceeded your budget, especially since you bought another HDMI cable from Amazon and found it only provided 1080P at 60Hz. I’m unsure if the issue is with my TV, GPU, or something else—it’s been a real hassle using HDMI for years without such problems. I don’t think retail prices are fair, as a 3-6ft cable should cost around $10. Seeing it in a store would be much more expensive. Even with a warranty, I’m not convinced it’s worth it. Your experience sounds similar to what I’ve had, so maybe reconsidering could help. What’s the warranty like for this product?
