Hey guys: I've seen this questioned before, but not under the same circumstances. Would you mind to help me? My internet connection gives me around 300 Mbps when I connect myself directly to router. However, my pc is on another room, so I use a powerline adaptor to transfer the internet (a 5 Ghz Wifi connection is available too): -If I connect my PC to the router using the powerline connection, I get around 55 Mbps instead of the 300. -If I connect my PC using the Wifi, I get around 30 Mbps. Is there a way to bridge them, to improve download speeds? No, running a LAN cable directly to the router is pretty hard, I'd need to drill to wall, make a mess, etc... No, I can not move the router from its actual place. Question is basically to know, if there is a free and hassle free "software" solution, that is available and would increment my speeds. I can live with the 55 Mbps, but it wouldn't hurt to unlock an unused potential if it is there. Thank you all for helping.

If you consider it carefully, the reason isn't clear. Your internet speed depends on the device it's connected to, and building a bridge doesn't alter that. Think about upgrading to a router with a more powerful and faster WiFi connection.

Sadly that only way to avoid such stupid issues to use the old trusty network cable. It doesn't make sense to have fast internet and have it crippled due to poor networking. There is a flat network cable that can fit under doors so you don't have to drill maybe you should look into that.

They have their own constraints (WiFi router and Powerline adapter). But my cable router can handle much higher speeds than those two devices combined. That’s why I assumed that when I use two sources sending different data streams at once, my PC perceives a quicker connection.
