I have a 2015 1TB HDD in a corner that’s not working, and I’m curious if I can repair it. I’ve connected an SSD to my computer and thought about adding storage without taking out the HDD. Is it doable? Also, just a note—this is your first time dealing with this, so I’d appreciate some guidance.

It could potentially halt your system and require a restart. However, if the issue exists, you’re unlikely to be working on it—focus on retrieving any information first, then safely delete it.

Tyler, it won't start Windows unless you replace the HDD. If it did launch, performance would be extremely poor and it would constantly report full disk space.
