Check if updating the router's firmware is safe for your setup.
I purchased just one at Walmart for 30 dollars, thinking it would work as a wireless bridge. Maybe I’ll have to keep searching or switch to a Linksys model that supports that feature.
It would be wiser to acquire another Velop node and set up a mesh network. Wireless bridging tends to be less stable and can lead to performance issues for all connected clients. Take some time to understand the distinction. What led you to consider using just one Velop in this way initially?
I initially intended to use it in a wireless bridge configuration, since I require Ethernet access in the upper section of my home.
