You recently purchased a Samsung Odyssey G8 and an Xbox series X, aiming for a gaming experience while saving for a better PC. You're struggling to locate an HDMI 2.1 cable that connects properly to your mini DP, micro HDMI, or USB-C ports on the monitor. You believed you found a compatible HDMI to micro HDMI cable but discovered it caused pixel lag, indicating a potential issue.

HDMI 2.1 isn't strictly necessary for 3440x1440p at 175Hz, but it can improve performance and compatibility.
