It's a bit confusing with all the setup details. Right now I have one built-in port and a USB adapter, using them separately. If I connect both to the router, what would happen?

You're unsure about how Windows would handle that... The safest approach is to test it. In the best scenario, it could double your internet connection speed to the router. In the worst case, it might do nothing at all.

The outcome hinges on your setup choices. Simply connecting two Ethernet cables won’t trigger any changes; you’ll only notice two available interfaces.

It doesn’t help at all for me—our plan is 100/10, though I could get 140/13. Still, it might be worth a shot.
