As I continue to figure it out, it becomes even more unclear. The power button doesn't match the reset function—what motherboard are we talking about?

Since the power switch and reset don’t rely on polarity, it doesn’t matter. What matters are the LED connections staying in the right orientation. It seems this should function properly even though the pin 1 on the socket goes into hole 2 on the plug, as long as we disregard the irrelevant reset polarity.

I often overlook this detail and reassure myself I'm great at pairing the correct pins with the motherboard and the specific connectors. Thanks for that positive boost to your confidence—just place the side of the plug with the arrow (pin 1 plug) onto the second pin on the motherboard.
