You're asking if you meant the X drive instead of the D drive. The space needs to be on the right side of the partition to make it extend. Using tools like gparted on Linux can help you move the partition accordingly.

It should be noted that since the space around the drive isn't directly next to it, you need to rely on tools such as AOMEI to achieve this.

Use the built-in partition wizard in Windows. The native disk manager doesn’t work well here.
