Confusion arises from mismatched devices and setups.
TL;DR I own two PCs, two Xbox controllers (one 3rd gen, one 4th gen) and two wireless adapters (one older style, one newer). They often sync to the wrong PC during gameplay. Both Windows 10 systems use an older adapter and a 4th gen controller. The wife’s setup has a newer adapter but an older controller. Her PC randomly switches between her and mine while playing, forcing her to resync. Currently, only switching adapters helps, but it’s hard to remember. Should I try other methods besides swapping devices?
