Prefer this method for optimal results, as it ensures consistent performance. I used a 3000Mhz G.Skill Ripjaws V that smoothly handled 3200MHz with the XMP settings and voltage. Not every device is assured to perform at that frequency, only that it can reach 3000Mhz reliably.
