I observed my Ryzen 2600 consistently running at 3.8Ghz even when idle. It seemed the Windows power settings were set to high performance, keeping the CPU at full speed constantly. After adjusting it to a balanced setting with the maximum CPU still at 100%, I tested some games without closing HWMonitor. I haven’t overclocked the processor and only used a standard cooler with MX-4 thermal paste. Despite this, one core exceeded 4GHz, and two reached over 4.3GHz, while the temperature stayed below 72°C. Many claim they only reach up to 4.2Ghz even with overclocking and voltage adjustments. Am I simply lucky with my hardware? I’ve attached a screenshot for your reference.

OC on Ryzen tends to be inconsistent. For example, my Ryzen 7 1800X didn't overclock at all—so I had to lower my RAM speed from 3200 to 3000 for stability. That’s a win for the chip! I’d upgrade the cooler right away to prevent any further issues.

You're using boost to dynamically adjust one or two cores to higher frequencies, which is useful for tasks like Cinebench that require many threads. In typical use, your cores usually cap around 4 GHz, but you're seeing about 4.25 GHz under normal conditions—suggesting a strong setup if it can sustain that level.
