I’m planning to build a homelab server for various reasons. I’m thinking about moving soon to a Linux VM system, but first I need to upgrade my current network. It’s limited to around 100mps D/40-45 U over phone or DSL. I’ve been exploring using the original router with an Asus Zen Mesh kit connected to an L2 management switch, and I’m considering vLans along with other features I haven’t mastered yet. I’ve started learning and even bought a guide. Are you on the right path for this project?
