I've got a new AC1750 Asus router and everything seems to be functioning perfectly. The only issue I've encountered so far is that some devices are connecting automatically without needing the password. It's unclear if this is because they're recognizing devices from the previous setup or something else. If you're familiar with the ASUS ROUTER app, it might help resolve this problem by managing network access.

Yes, it matches the SSID and password of the previous router.

The SSID and password might match the one you previously connected to.

They likely sync across the same devices, but it's unclear if PSKs are saved to accounts. The main difference seems to be the presence of a separate account with stored credentials.

Not yet finished with my PC, only my dad’s tablet and my sister’s laptop are running Windows 10, neither joined on their own. My mom and dad’s phones connected automatically. After tweaking the router settings, my sister’s phone still didn’t link when she got home. Could be I did something right?

It's quite unusual, but I'd attempt to reset the router and update the firmware, even if it's already current—just reinstalling might help. If the issue persists, switching to an open-source firmware such as dd-wrt could resolve many problems.
