Hello everyone,

I’m planning to assemble a new PC mainly for AI work and gaming. With my budget ranging from €3000 to €5000, I’m trying to decide how to best use it. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. 😊

Budget Overview:
- Budget: €3000–€5000
- Goals:
- AI Development: Running language models, processing complex math, creating visual outputs.
- Gaming: Playing high-end games at full resolution with smooth performance.

What to Consider:
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4090 (24 GB recommended or more if possible).
- CPU: I’m used to Intel but AMD has made big strides recently. My main worry is the quality of wafers in AMD products, which could affect durability.
- Motherboard: Prefer ASUS, since I’ve had positive experiences with their hardware.
- RAM: Minimum 64 GB DDR5 for heavy AI tasks.
- Storage: Fast NVMe SSD (1–2 TB) for quick data retrieval.
- Power Supply: Stable and efficient (minimum 80+ Gold certified).
- Cooling: Quiet and effective, necessary due to high workload.
- Case: Spacious, well-ventilated, with room for future upgrades.

Background:
I’ve toggled between Intel and AMD in the past. Right now I’m leaning toward Intel, but I’m not sure if it’s the best fit. I value ASUS products but remain open to other trusted brands. My main focus is AI and gaming.

What I Need:
- Your thoughts on whether AMD or Intel is better for my situation.
- Suggestions for prebuilt setups or custom builds.
- Your top motherboard picks and other hardware recommendations.
- Feedback on alternative configurations and proven hardware for similar projects.

Looking forward to your insights and any tips you can share! Thank you in advance for your help. I’m eager to hear your ideas. 😊

Based on my own limited understanding, aiming for the top-tier 4090 would place you around $3800-4000 plus (sorry, American). If you want similar high-end Intel Ultra CPUs with all their benefits, you might have to approach it in phases or increase your budget considerably.

Selecting 9950x delivers superior performance and stability compared to every Intel CPU. If you need a little extra budget, 7950x works well at a slightly lower price of 440$. For motherboards, there are 220 x670e models available locally.

This SSD is a QLC type, so it's best suited for games with big files, not for AI researchers.
