Are you sure there’s nothing stored? Simply turn off the Ethernet cable. Press the network button and turn off the wired link. Does this resolve the issue?

Right-click the virtual machine => Settings => Network => "Connected to" set to bridged, "Name" set to the Wi-Fi card.
