Configure your device for Pihole by adjusting settings and installing the required software.
Hi, I just configured a Pi-hole and need help setting up my OnePlus 6T to use it. I want my phone to access the Pi-hole without affecting others' internet. Thanks!
They resemble typical Android configurations. Navigate to settings, then wifi and network details for your connection. Update the DNS address to point to the Pi-Hole server.
It's not necessary to include anything under DNS 2, just for safety.
Yes, you can keep the DNS address static while letting the phone's IP stay automatic. On iOS, you set a fixed DNS and allow the device to get its own IP via DHCP. If both need to be fixed, you’ll have to pick an IP in your Wi-Fi network range—usually 192.168.0.X or 192.168.1.X—and make sure it’s not used by another device.
I’m still getting the hang of this, but I think I understand a bit. You can keep the IP in DHCP or set it manually. If you choose DHCP, you can’t adjust anything below that setting. With Static, you need to enter the same IP address to save the change. I can access the router and should be able to find its IP address. Let me know if you need more help.
