You're looking to set up a dual GPU with NVLink on your Ryzen 9 using a motherboard. I'll clarify PCIe slots and their roles. Some boards offer multiple PCIe 16x slots, while others may have just one or a few at different speeds (like x16 and x8). The board you mentioned supports both PCIe 16 and 8, which is great for NVLink compatibility. Let me break it down simply.

Review the specifications closely. The top 16x slot operates at 16x, while the bottom 16x runs at 4x (as noted in the cipset). You’d need a board such as the Prime Pro to convert the two upper 16x slots into an 8x configuration when the lower one is active. Alternatively, another board that clearly defines its CPU lane splits would be required.

Typically both channels operate at double speed. Confirm you have a motherboard that allows SLI compatibility. The device you mentioned only works with Crossfire.
