ACB is connected to the bridge, DHCP is set up on ER-X. After installation, you should be able to power it via POE. You may need to rearrange ports accordingly. Start by powering it using the power adapter, then turn on POE on ER-X.

I tried this method before, causing connections to drop. Could there be interference between the IP addresses?

Lose Wi-Fi connection? Check the settings on the access point and switch channels. The suggested IP interference idea doesn’t apply here.

You asked for confirmation on how the AirCube-ISP is powered. Is it receiving power through the ER-X's PoE output? Also, are you using the provided 12V/0.5A adapter to power the ER-X?

I genuinely believe I'm the main problem here, completely lacking the skills to manage network configurations. While I might understand setting up load balancers or Pi clusters, those experiences don't apply to routers or Ubiquiti devices. I suspect my knowledge is irrelevant in this context. I recently reset the AirCube ISP, unplugged it, and then reconnected it (using the USB micro port for another purpose). Now it won’t connect to https://192.168.1.1. I really hope it works again, but right now, Ubiquiti seems like the worst networking provider I've encountered. My frustration is overwhelming. I just wanted to play with my Steam Deck OLED, but the experience is far from normal.

Discarded the AirCube ISP and installed the Netgear WAX202. It’s functioning properly in AP mode with no problems. The AirCube ISP was kept solely for PoE purposes.

It's true that Ubiquiti's AirMax/UISP series is aimed at users familiar with their equipment. The manuals can be limited, leaving much to interpretation. From what I observed, the AirCube-ISP wasn't receiving adequate power over PoE. I've used both the ER-X and ER-X-SFP, and from past experience, a dedicated 24V/12W adapter is necessary for the passthrough port. The 12V/0.5A adapter included with the ER-X only supports the ER-X itself; you must purchase a higher-voltage version separately.

Thanks! Your setup sounds great—Netgear WAX202 with dual-band and a Steam Deck OLED makes for a solid connection. Enjoy the 5GHz speed!
