I'm working with Oracle VirtualBox on Windows 10. I'm facing issues setting the display to 1920 x 1080 and encountering lag in video and sound. I've installed the extension but haven't found a way to increase the video memory beyond 256 MB. Anyone have suggestions? Is there a method to boost the video RAM? I'm using the command line in C:\program files\oracle\virtualbox and see the problem.

Add guest extensions to the VM to configure custom display settings. You might also want to turn on GPU acceleration in the display options for the VM.
