Hello, your message is appreciated. I understand the situation well. I'm working on setting up a new system and running into RAID configuration challenges. Previously, I had a RAID 0 setup and now want to apply it here. The hardware includes an i9 12900K, ASUS B760M-PLUS with Wi-Fi D4, two 2TB Crucial P5 Plus NVMe drives, 2x 32GB RAM, an H115i CPU cooler, and a 2080Ti motherboard. Everything boots fine without Intel Rapid Storage, but when I enable RAID it shows “raid volume not supported.” I've updated the BIOS and tried the correct drivers, but the MOTO keeps blocking me. Could you help clarify if there’s something missing or a common oversight? Thanks!

Linus recently faced the challenges of realizing: Avoid running RAID—it's a pain even on good days and doesn't justify any minor speed gains. NVME is already sufficiently fast to handle everything without RAID. Also: RAID isn't worth it, since most hardware RAID controllers (BIOS RAID on most boards) are just poor choices.
