Hello, my name is Santhosh from Hyderabad, India. I operate a gaming parlour and I’m curious about a way to keep one storage device for all ten PCs, store all the games there, and play them simultaneously on any of them. Stadia and similar services aren’t accessible in my area, and I don’t want to rely heavily on VPNs. Could you clarify if my question is clear? Thanks, Santhosh

It might be feasible with an external hard drive, though I believe it's unlikely

I recall a method for connecting the whole Steam library to one Windows server NAS during those times in Indonesia's e-café era. However, because game files are tightly linked to client DRM and each system needs significant local storage with a cache server, this setup is more scalable and smoother.

The problem lies in how modifications to game files trigger severe failures in most titles. Or the system simply claims control over those files during a session, making them unreadable or unusable. Local copies are no longer reliable anymore.

Thank you! I'll set up an external hard drive for all systems. Appreciate your guidance!

To reduce download costs, set up a Steam update server in your network so multiple devices can share and install games together.
