Looking at your setup, the dual 8GB DDR4 sticks at 3200MHz would likely perform better than the single 8GB stick at 2400MHz. Your Ryzen 5 4500U benefits from higher clock speeds, and having two sticks allows better memory bandwidth and stability.

Varies by your setup. Generally, more memory helps even at lower speeds, but if you run a specific app that needs less RAM and benefits from faster speeds, go with the 3200MHz single stick. I’d still choose the 2x8 version even at lower speeds because it doubles capacity and keeps most speed benefits, so you won’t notice much loss in performance while handling multiple tasks.

These two cables are designed to operate in dual channel mode. Running two 2400 MT/s cables together provides the same bandwidth as one 4800 MT/s cable.
