I don't understand why it's so unusual. If I weren't familiar, I'd think the GPU was a test version or internal component. How did you obtain the graphics card?

This system builder, ADMI, seems to be getting their GPUs from an unusual source. It might be worth discussing this with them. You could consider swapping the GPU with one from their stock, or they may already know what happened and can guide you through removing the watermark.
