It's pretty straightforward here. They're moving to a deferred rendering system in WoD, which is why they're cutting MSAA. This should move more processing power to the GPU. They're also reducing the complexity of other player animations, which should boost performance during raids and in crowded spots. If you're talking about the streamers, that's true. A sponsorship from G2A and Corsair isn't enough to cover 40+ people. Most of them take time off while new content launches. These groups can also adjust their schedules—Riggnaros mentioned they work or study during progression and only raid when they're free on weekends.
I'm not sure if you play WoW or not, but let me explain a bit more, why it's not "As casual as it gets" That's 9 hours, PLUS THE TIME NOT RAIDING I play at least 35 hours a week, with going to school for 14 credit hours, and working 30 hours a week. I spend most of my time not at work or school, on the game. Maybe not something to brag about, but something that I'm getting a tad annoyed having to explain. On a more related note, if they can get the usage over to more GPU's, that would be amazing.
I've reviewed everything you shared before you comment. I spend three nights weekly, dedicating three hours per character. I play over 40 hours a week across 11 max-level characters, raiding most of them. I'm currently tackling the toughest content in the game and grasp what heroic progression entails. You don't need to raid seven days a week to reach that level. I've been raiding since Vanilla WoW, and I assure you, I don’t need to be told I’m doing it wrong. On another point, I managed to tweak a few settings for better FPS, but performance still lags in the 30s range. I checked my CPU and RAM usage, and it’s definitely not the problem. My CPU usage went up a bit more than expected (I was expecting 70%), reaching 86% max. It hasn’t hit 100%, and thermal issues aren’t present either. For now, I’ll keep the game running and wait for the expansion to improve things.
