Hello, from my last assembly I've faced some issues with my new PC setup. All the components are brand new except the power supply and SSD, which are only a year old. Despite that, I'm having trouble getting it to function properly. My troubleshooting suggests the problem might lie with the motherboard or processor. A friend who works in IT suggested it could be the motherboard or CPU. Since this is my first build, I'm not fully confident in drawing such conclusions. Would it make sense to swap out the motherboard? The main issue is that I can't install either Windows 10 or 11. Every time I try, I encounter a BSOD similar to 'Critical Process died.' Initially the installation didn’t complete, and I received the error message about being unable to install files. After some attempts—updating BIOS, using a different installation drive on another USB, installing on another SSD (SATA instead of M.2), changing RAM to a single stick and testing each slot—I still face the same problem. The CPU temperature seems normal. I’ve noticed the 'USB over current' warning, which makes me think the PSU might be the culprit. Unfortunately, I don’t have a spare PSU to test. The VGA light sometimes flashes during boot while the screen appears blank (the GPU is connected). Restarting usually resolves it and brings up BIOS, but it feels unstable. It could be due to driver issues or problems with the motherboard itself. Build details: Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F, GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3060, CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (with stock cooler), SSD: Samsung 980 1 TB PCIe 3.0, PSU: RM Series 2021, 750W, 80+ Gold, Monitor: MSI Optix G273QF QHD IPS 165Hz, 27-inch.
