With some funds I managed to collect, I decided to choose between Fallout 4 and Just Cause 3. Both seemed exciting, but I was about to pick JC3 until I read reviews highlighting poor optimization. As a PC Gamer, I know how important it is to optimize properly, so I looked into the details. It turned out the focus was mainly on AMD hardware. Disappointed not being able to get the best visual experience, I checked Fallout 4 instead. I expected similar satisfaction. However, many Steam reviews called it a disappointment, and it seemed to confirm that. While I won’t dismiss those opinions entirely, I’m keen on pushing my graphics card to its limits—something I’d definitely do with JC3—and I don’t want to waste money on a game I won’t enjoy or can’t run smoothly. Could anyone advise if either title is worth the investment or if there are better options to consider?

Honestly, Fallout 4 doesn’t live up to the hype. It lacks the charm of earlier titles, and the missions feel quite monotonous. There are some positives—like building characters, managing cities, visuals, and performances—but overall it doesn’t stand out. I haven’t played the original, but I’m hoping my thoughts on this game can be useful.

He mentioned it's performing better with his AMD card, possibly indicating a recent patch for JC3.

They mentioned it was around a week ago, but many say it hasn't fixed things much. It might just be an issue with Nvidia, so I'll check what others think about AMD's side.

It seems the discussion revolves around personal preferences. The author found the game engaging despite its lack of originality and poor building mechanics. They noted that while the visuals weren’t exceptional, titles like Witcher 3 or Battlefront excel in graphics. The main drawback was the repetitive nature and limited content beyond quests. Opinions vary on what makes a game good, but overall, the experience wasn’t memorable for its depth.

FO 4 generated a lot of excitement. That’s why I picked up Legacy of the Void on launch day just in case. Modders can improve graphics and add features, but there are limits... Or maybe they can go further? To enhance your graphics card in Skyrim, try Metro 2033, Last Light, perhaps Witcher 3, and MGS-TPP (it’s not mandatory but it’s enjoyable). Also, check out Xcom and keep an eye on Xcom 2 when it releases soon!

On JC3 with my r7 260x on low settings I get around 40-50fps which considering the beauty of the game is very reasonable considering that the r7 260x is not a very powerful card compared to the r9 390 you have.(this is at 1080p)

I possess both titles, and I truly favored Fallout 4 more. Those who liked the earlier games are likely to enjoy Fallout 4 unless they were particularly drawn to the decision-making and mechanics changes; they've simplified some RPG aspects to create a broader appeal compared to Fallout: NV or 3.

Initially I faced frequent issues with JC3, realizing it didn’t support my GPU OC while others succeeded. I adjusted it to a lower setting, achieving smoother gameplay at 45-75fps on ultra settings.

It's a great experience playing Skyrim lately, especially the sense that your words might shape exciting outcomes. That decision-making aspect is really important.
